ToneMonkey
Bill, I think this has just turned into a general reso thread (mainy by me - sorry everyone). Anyway, here is the stuff Bill emailed me: Thanks very much, last two are works in progress.first has story bought cover and sound holes, middle has hand made cover and sound holes .one of the last ones i`m useing different type sound holes sort of a tri cone look with a single cone. thanks again bill. ps where about are you from?? http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b287/ToneMonkey/reso1.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b287/ToneMonkey/reso2.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b287/ToneMonkey/reso3.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b287/ToneMonkey/reso4.jpg I'm over in the sunny UK (actually been raining for 2 days). I've submitted all my CAD drawings to the laser cutter and we're just waiting for him to get back to us. Unfortunately the bloke that I'm working with is rushing around, trying to get some guitars done for a show in Bath. It means that he hasn't built my neck yet . This reso project and redoing a Patrick Eggle electric are kind of taking all my project time at the minute. The Eggle was turning into a resto rather than a quick buff. The masking tape had been sprayed over and left on the fretboard since about 1997. Wasn't easy to get off. Everything else has been put on the back burner until I actually learn how to play the bloody things. Had my first lesson last night to try and get some of the basics down. Resodude
Question: How do you attach a neck onto a solid body? (ukulele ofcourse) Also, is it better to make the neck of one solid piece of wood than gluing the head angle and the part that attaches to the body?
