Lord-of-the-strings
I've gotten the back of my guitar completely sanded, and for being alder ,it had some pretty nice grain so I was stoked about that thinking "Oooh, it'd look nice if I stained it." have about half of the top done, barely any grain at all. Why is this?
fryovanni
I've gotten the back of my guitar completely sanded, and for being alder ,it had some pretty nice grain so I was stoked about that thinking "Oooh, it'd look nice if I stained it." have about half of the top done, barely any grain at all. Why is this? If it is flatsawn it may look very plain on one side and more interesting on the other. Just depends on the cut and run of the grain. I suppose it could also be plywood or a veneer on one side. Veneer might be odd if it was a solid color guitar. Peace,Rich
