What's Up With This!?

Recommended Posts

I've gotten the back of my guitar completely sanded, and for being alder ,it had some pretty nice grain so I was stoked about that thinking "Oooh, it'd look nice if I stained it." have about half of the top done, barely any grain at all. Why is this? :D

If it is flatsawn it may look very plain on one side and more interesting on the other. Just depends on the cut and run of the grain. I suppose it could also be plywood or a veneer on one side. Veneer might be odd if it was a solid color guitar.
