johnsilver
Anyone have any experience with these? They have a tube preamp section and a solid state power amp section. valvestate amp
ultraman
i got the avt 275 its good. way better than the old piece of garbage valvestates. the clean is awesome but the dist. isnt very heavy metallish or shred type. if youre into classic rock or anything else i think it would suit your needs. if you need metal just buy a pedal with it. tasty
Sterile and bland. Either I am talking about chick peas wrapped in gauze or a Marshall Valvestate.
Sambo
Nah, don't go there. I'm in the UK, and Ashdown tube amps are about the same as a decent valvestate... And as i noticed certain carvin amps come in reasonably *rubs chin*. Laney are another good place to look at. I'd say their tubefusion series is the best valve/solidstate hybrid type things i've come across. But go for a TFX300 or above
jnewman
I have an AVT50 that's maybe 7-8 years old? I really don't like it. I think I'll just leave it at that.
