theforgotten Posted April 20, 2006 Report Posted April 20, 2006 Hi there! For a long time I want to make a vynil decal and to cover my guitar's body.I live in Macedonia (if you know where is). It's a small country near Kosovo,Greece,Bulgaria and here it's very hard for me to make vynil sticker. The print factorys don't print less than 1000 for example but that's not the problem. Here a vynil sticker will cost me minimum 100$ and maybe more.So i decided to ask you if I can make vynil sticker at home and how. Please help me.Write everyting i need. Thanks to everyone and God bless! Stew Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Two questions: 1. How big of a surface area do you need? 2. Why vinyl? Why not waterslide acrylic? Quote
Hitone Posted April 29, 2006 Report Posted April 29, 2006 theforgotten I would suggest looking to the internet for your vinyl needs. What you need to look for is a vinyl signage person not a printer. Unless you want to have something printed on it. That would be like the advertisements you see on bus' or those crazy advetising hummers. I get my logo cut out of vinyl to get a super crisp look. I get about 20 - 30 at a time. There was a guy selling vinyl kits for guitars. You might do a search to see what his deal is. http://www.stripeshop.com/ Good Luck Quote
Cole-TheFalcon-Will Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 http://www.speedysigns.com/ You can send them the text/logo you want or use their online lettering generator to make your own logo using hundreds of different fonts. Quote

manquesa Posted May 7, 2006 Report Posted May 7, 2006 There's a tutorial on this site for using cloth material like a bedsheet stretched over the guitar and then sealing it with clear lacquer. Look that up in the tutorials section. Maybe for what you're trying to do you can get a plain white sheet and then print your design on Iron On Transfer Paper and then transfer your design onto the sheet., then cover your guitar with that. Just a thought. Might not be the best answer. Quote
