Trann
I'm putting together a Strat to be used for jazz and I'm curious if anybody has any experience with the coils sold on Stewmac.com. A set on stewmac is about $100 but a set of Fenders is $150. Thanks for any input.
crafty
For the price I'd buy some GFS pickups from Guitar Fetish. Better value, unless you really want to spend some coin, then I'd buy just about anything else over the Stew Mac set. The Stew Mac pickups are probably made in the same Korean factory as the GFSs, so why spend the extra money?
mammoth guitars
We have used a set of the Golden Age humbuckers and they worked out very well. Extremely well potted with no microphonics.
Southpa
I've got the Golden Age overwound hb's in two guitars, no complaints here.
Setch
Ditto - I have used 2 sets, overwound bridge, standard neck, and like them a lot.
