psyche Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Hi there, can someone post two pics of the LR baggs preamp that ibanez uses in their 6/7 string electric guitars??? I want one from the components side and one from the copper side!Maybe i can trace out the schematic for every one. Also i want the transistor numbers!!! Quote
psyche Posted May 13, 2006 Author Report Posted May 13, 2006 You want fries with that? And a cup of coffe please!!!!!! Am I asking something strange?Well I dont know how the preamp is located in the guitar but i think that it would easily come out for a photo! Quote
Robert_the_damned Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 (edited) why the obsession with that pre-amp. My guess its just an op-amp based pre-amp so you should be able to use anything along those lines really. Tonepad has a layout of the MXR MicroAmp which should do the job. lovekraft Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 He makes a good point - you can bet that it's the cheapest possible production solution to whatever LR Baggs decided was the problem, so it's hardly likely to be the optimal design for a one-off (economics of scale, and all that sort of thing, you know). What is it in particular that makes this specific preamp important enough to reverse engineer? Quote
