Resodude Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 When you have F holes on your guitar ( both acoustic and electric), do you usually put a piece so you cant see all the way in. Like if youre making a resonator guitar (wooden) with f holes, should you put a piece of wood under the hole so you cant see the resonator cone? Quote
thegarehanman Posted June 10, 2006 Report Posted June 10, 2006 No, the f hole is simply an opening in the top. If you're doing an actual archtop or something(as opposed to a semi-hollow), you might want to read into the subject. The size and location of the f holes can have a lot to do with the voice of the guitar(but pretty much no effect on a semi-hollow, arguably). peace, russ Quote
