icetrey
This might be a dumb question but I'm wanting to paint a hollowbody and was wondering how when u buy a hollowbody there isn't any paint inside the f holes where the paint would go through.. Would u mask it off with tape somehow? I did a search but couldn't find anything.
Jaam
You can shove old rags or tissue paper inside the f-holes, atleast thats why most people do. Just have to make sure you can get them out later.
Drak
Or stick a balloon in each f-hole and inflate it until it seals against the bottom of the top, I believe that's how many professionals do it, very easy and painless.
Daniel Sorbera
I just got a funny word picture of a guitar expanding slowly than exploding
fryovanni
I was watching one of the Bendetto discs the other night (thanks again fellas). He wash coats the inside of the plates prior to assembly(shellac). When doing the outside of the body. Drak's balloon idea sounds like a great method. verhoevenc
that would depend on what type of paint's already on it... Chris
