TheCross
I wanted to put a Bigsby on my SG and to make a new pickguard, that's a)different from the standard one(probably running to the pot knobs) and would cover up the tailpiece holes in a way. I figured that if I'd try to do a hybrid out of the standard pg and the additional parts, there wouldn't be much left of the guitar and the pg would cover up most of it, which would suck, cos I like the natural brown finish(worn brown SG). So I decided to do something similar to this, to let the pg run on the lower part of the guitar: http://www.thenitmustbetrue.com/MarsVoltap...20Volta%206.JPG therefore I wanted to know if there are some tricks to cover up the screw holes on the upper part of the guitar which won't be used anymore? on the other hand you might tell me if there are good ways to cover the tailpiece holes in a different way as well...??!? There are holes on my Melody Maker from where the trem used to be...I just leave 'em that way. Although at one point I thought about hiding them by adding some kind of fancy cover --you know, studs or spikes or jewels or whatever tickles your fancy.
