possum1284 Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 hi have fender neck that was finished in polyurethane. the finish was a little rough on the back of the neck so i used a really high grit sandpaper to smooth it out. i did not san through to the wood. i was just wondering is the polyurethane safe to touch as a result of sanding it? i know the dust is bad for ya so I was just wondering iff the neck is ok health wise. thanks, adam Quote

Mickguard Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 So is that that same old Fender neck with the dents in it that you've been trying to sell as a Clapton Strat? The dust is dangerous for your lungs. If there's no dust, there's no danger. Quote
marksound Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 Possum, if you have health questions you really should be asking a professional or something. Really, we're just hobby tinkerers around here. Just ask that what's his face guy. Quote
ryanb Posted July 9, 2006 Report Posted July 9, 2006 No problem at all ... unless you are licking it. Quote
al heeley Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 do you go round licking people's necks? Quote
Daniel Sorbera Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 Once poly is cured it wont hurt you a bit to touch it. But personally I wouldn't go around eating off it Quote
Edaholic Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 (edited) I licked a girl named Polly on the neck once. Edited July 29, 2006 by Edaholic Quote
