I am BJ Posted July 19, 2006 Report Posted July 19, 2006 im looking to buy an inexpensive ebony fretboard and wanted to know if there was anywhere that would sell them with the fretwire allready installed in it. reply to this and help me out. Thanks! Quote
aidlook Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 you'd probably want to put the fretwire in after you've cut the fretboard to fit the dimensions of the neck.. Quote
verhoevenc Posted July 20, 2006 Report Posted July 20, 2006 yup.... it'd be kinda hard to profile with frets already in it... But hit up stewmac. You can grab an ebony board there and fretwire for not TOO much. Then just get a radius sanding block, cut off a 1" long piece, drill the top, insert dowel, glue, and VOILA you have a fret presser for your frets! Not to mention LMII does all that too, and I think you can buy pre-radiused frets from them to can't you? Chris Quote
