Neck Angle For A Neck Thru

Recommended Posts

hi, i'll be commencing my first build, a neck thru, in the next couple of months and i have a few questions.

firstly, im considering using a tunematic bridge with stop piece on a neck thru warlock. i was wondering how i calculate the neck angle as ive heard trig is used.

secondly, do i need a neck angle if i just opt for a wilkinson strat style tremelo?

thanks in advance

joe

no no neck angle is necessary for the wilkinson, the reason you need a neck angle for the TOM is because of its height, you could always rout a channel for the bridge then you wouldn't need a neck angle. If you end up using a non-sunken TOM use the search function to find how to calculate a neck angle.
