Compound Mitre Saw And Stewmac Blade

With stewmacs custom table saw fret slotting blade, I know you can use a table saw and a radial arm saw to cut fret slots. What about using a cheap compound mitre saw?

I doubt that would work. Setting it up to cut with a template would be tough. You could certainly just pick up a cheap ($100) table top table saw that would work fine.

That saw does not look like it has a sliding arm. It needs to slide, and needs to be made very well for consistent slotting.

Look at craigs list in your area for used radial arm saws
