Guest AlexVDL Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 for what? You need the decal? Or the headstock outlines? I have both Quote

Guest AlexVDL Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Here it is (550Kb) The gold rim of the Fender logo is very grainy... maybe because of the reflection of the metallic material. But I think it will be ok if it's printed out. 70's strat decal Preview (a lot smaller): Quote
BeAR Posted September 23, 2003 Author Report Posted September 23, 2003 Thanks Alex, much appreciated mate. Quote
PaulNeeds Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 I know we've been through this before, but what's the best way you've found for printing and then applyinh to a headstock? Quote
BeAR Posted September 24, 2003 Author Report Posted September 24, 2003 Print them onto decal paper with a laser printer, apply the decal, and then clear laquer over the top. I have a local printing shop that makes all sorts of decals.....you know the ones who can put a picture of your dog onto a coffee cup, or your mother in law onto a plate. Im sure you get the idea I just give them a disk with the files on and they print them for me. Quote
PaulNeeds Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 you know the ones who can put a picture of your dog onto a coffee cup, or your mother in law onto a plate. Do they crack the plate for you, or do you get to do that yourself? Quote
Tiago Razera Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Can you send the headstock layout to me? I think I´m the only one who likes it, more than the conventional. I will build a guitar like the Blackmore´s. my email: tiagorazera@zipmail.com.br Thanks so much! Quote
john Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 Thanks Alex , thats a nice looking decal. Does anyone know if the squier fat strat headstock is the same as the CBS fender headstock, or is the squier one a little rounder towards the end? Quote
DividedByJames Posted October 2, 2003 Report Posted October 2, 2003 I thought you had to use an inkjet because the laser would melt the decal paper. Has anyone actually used a laser printer to do it? I just bought a laser printer, but if I'm risking the chance of getting melted film all over the insides, I'm not doin' it. Let me know. I have a 70's strat copy and it's lacking a decent decal (got jagermeister stickers on it now). Can you buy the decal paper at like Office Depot or Best Buy or something? And thanks for the image.
