thegarehanman Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 I'm looking for flamed maple veneer, preferably quartersawn for the added figure. So far, I've only been able to find stuff around 7" wide. Woodcraft sells a 4'x8' sheet, but that's far more than I need and runs $150. peace, russ Quote

They might be able to do wider sizes than standard for you, they definitely stock flamed maple veneer. Quote
verhoevenc Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Or you could just fork out the money for the $150 one, slice it up, and sell the rest Chris Quote
fryovanni Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Shoot me an e-mail Russ. If the size is about equal to a one piece body blank I have just what you need. Peace,Rich Quote
Desopolis Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 I also am getting a 9x24 piece of quilted thats 5/8 thick.. I only need 9" x 9" x 1/4" Quote
Drak Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 Are you asking for real veneer or a laminate top? Seems everybody is calling laminates veneers these days, it's enough to confuse Drak. If you're looking for real veneer, I have some very sweet 5A quilted that I'll move along for a really looooow price. Quote
Inisheer Posted September 5, 2006 Report Posted September 5, 2006 I'm confused too. You must be talking about a laminate top, because I have never seen veneer that cost $150. The Wood Well has cheap veneer and I'm pretty sure universal jems has some too, if that's indeed what you are looking for. Quote
thegarehanman Posted September 5, 2006 Author Report Posted September 5, 2006 C'mon guys. Me call a laminate a veneer? Never. I'm talking about actual veneer, typically maybe what, 1mm thick? Not a drop top. If you doubt that $150 claim, look here: http://www.woodcraft.com/family.aspx?FamilyID=8664. It's got a paper backing, but none the less it's quite expensive. I'll message you, drak and rich. peace, russ Quote
