Hoopy
Hey, I'm making my first guitar, an Eastwood Airline style guitar and I want it to be glossy sky blue with a checker plate pickguard. As I'm new I'm not sure about what types of paint and methods of painting there are so I would like some suggestions. I've looked in the tutorials but none really seem to describe what I'm looking for. I want the general finish to look like this: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/4368/gt...ejackstddu7.jpg I don't know If you can get this effect by staining or if you need to paint. I have a Yamaha RGX 112 that has the finnish I want but in red so I can post some pics of that too if you need them. Thanks -Chris Edited September 17, 2006 by Hoopy
MidnightLamp
Bit confused as to the exact finish you are looking for. If you could point it out from here: http://www.warmoth.com/paint/paint.cfm Then we can work from there. Peace.
Hoopy
Thnaks for the site! The look I want would be under the 'Candy' paint section, A glossy finish. This is the closest I could find to what I wanted: http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/8301/bluecp8.jpg So I want that look but in this colour: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/4368/gt...ejackstddu7.jpg Hope you understand.
