weaponepsilon Posted September 29, 2006 Report Posted September 29, 2006 I was doing a fretboard removal while following Kevan's tutorial on a beaten old squier neck and suddenly the fretboard split at the 12th fret. So I started at the opposite end and got to the 2nd fret and the damn thing splintered again. Since this is a bass neck, I toyed with the idea of either going fretless or making a real custom piece. Show of hands; who thinks I should still rescue the rosewood fretboard, and who thinks I should just lay waste to it? Quote
ryanb Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 Think of this as your chance to do a fancy new custom fretboard ... cause the old one is firewood now. Quote
theitalianrob Posted September 30, 2006 Report Posted September 30, 2006 yeah, make a new fretboard, it'll be an experience Quote
