antique_dream Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Does anyone know anything about the new Ibanez zero resistance tremelo? How does it differ from other tremelos? Quote
westhemann Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 i have seen then but i haven't played one.it has an extra piece in the trem cavity that,s all i know.a guy in a local music store said he didn't like it because it wasn't as easy to flutter. Quote
Speedy McFeely Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 it is on a rod instead of pole pieces for pivoting. kind of like a bearing rod, it has the pivot point back some also, said to improve stability. there are some good pics on ibanez' website. it also has a tremsetter in the spring cavity to help it stay at nuetral incase of a loss in tention, ie string breakage. if this is too confusing, try this point out your index finger on your right hand, now take your left hand and make a circle with your index finger and thumb, insert your right index finger into the hole of you left hand. this is how the thing pivots. it's hard to explain until you actualy see one of these contraptions.
