Active Wirering

hey

just want to know if any one know how i could wire a pair of Active EMG's theres two of them and wat i want is a volume and tone knob for each and then have both go into the same battery and output

the diagrams they came with dont seem to cover it

Go to EMG's website, they have schematics and drawings in PDF for EVERYTHING.

You're describing a Les Paul style circuit, although minus a pickup switch.

Makes no difference at all. Circuit is the same. As Drak says, go to the EMG website as it's all listed on there.

yeha i went on the emg website and the only diagrams i could find were the same that came with the pickups.

any other ideas???

which as Prostheta said is just like a Les Paul withouth the switch but of course you'd have to look at the wiring for the EMG humbuckers to find it (its not in the PDF for the bass pickups).

Using the diagram posted, turning down either volume pot is going to turn down both pickups (as in dual master volumes), just like a stock LP. If you're not going to use a switch, either reverse the pickup and jack leads on both volume pots (and move the tone cap to the wiper), or live with dual master volumes (and interactive tone controls). A blend pot would be the ideal solution here, but I have no idea where you'd find a 25K Orban-style panpot.
