I dont know if this is the right place to ask this question but what do you use for fret markers? is it just paint or do you drill a small hole and fill it with stuff? im thinking about not having any inlay on the fretboard and just using the fret markers for simplicicty reasons, and because it has more of a classical guitar look.

Aluminium wire (dia. 2-3mm) makes beautiful dots. Leveling them with a 500-grit paper gives a nice satin look. Just don't drill the hole too small, you can crack fingerboards' edge when the fit is too tight.
