its finally happening ....

it originally: http://img182.imageshack.us/img182/4527/image00065hl2.jpg

I stripped it due to the paint was cracking in some places, being a fairly old guitar.

stripped front: http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/6222/img4177oa5.jpg

stripped back: http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/5830/img4179ba1.jpg

After stripping it, I rather poorly  routed a new hole for a humbucker in the neck. (routing was going good till, the vertical lock slipped with out me noticing, and after blowing out the dust, suddenly there was a deeper trench, and me screaming ..... but it will be covered by the new pick ups)

guitar stripped hardware on: http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/8006/p1010083wj8.jpg

I always had the intention of oiling, but after stripping I discovered the 3piece (most ibanez are like this) body are made from two different tree's, I was kind of expecting it, but hoping it wouldn't be so ....

Off in search of harlequin paint, already knowing it cost a fair amount I was hoping to retrieve some extra from a body shop, failing that I have returned to oiling.

Off to bunnings, returning with Danish oil a few days ago, I played around on some test scraps, and I bit the bullet a few days ago
