ozg666ur Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Hi, I got this Schecter Omen 6 3 months ago. My other guitar is MIA Fender Stratocaster. I want to make my Schecter a custom project guitar. First, my Schecter's specifications... My guitar's pic is here... http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/b...l_sku=101558112 Schecter Omen 6 Electric Guitar Features: Basswood body Bolt-on maple neck Rosewood fingerboard 25-1/2" scale 24 jumbo frets Dot markers String-thru tailpiece Diamond tuners Chrome hardware Dual humbuckers I want to replace the neck. I want to get this neck for my guitar .... http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bodies,_necks,..._for_Strat.html But I wonder is this true choice for this guitar. My guitar has 24 jumbo frets, but the new one has 22 frets ( that's a strat neck ). Is this a good combination with basswood body ? I think to get Di Marzio FRED pickup for the bridge position, Di Marzio PAF Pro for the neck position. My second alternative is Seymour Duncan Jb SH-4 for the bridge position, Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz for the neck position. What do you think about it ? By the way, my music style is classic heavy metal.... here is the link... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=539942 If you share your opinions with me, I'll be very pleased... Thanks a lot.... Quote
westhemann Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 that neck will not work with that guitar.you need to do some research on scale length. Quote
