ravelle
Hey all. Want to build a guitar but want to practice first. Let's say I want to paint a new body with no previous painting. Say I just want it blue, no other colors for this example. 1) Sand it and make sure the whole thing is smooth. 2) Apply sealer 3) Sand the sealer (why do I do this?) 4) Apply primer (do I have to?) 5) Apply coats of blue paint 6) Apply clear coat (this protects it, right?) Have I got some of that right? Thanks all,
Mickguard
Have I got some of that right? Thanks all, You're missing an essential step --post this in the proper section: the finishing section. You're more likely to get a response from the people who focus on that part of things. There's also tons of information there, chances are you'll find your answer without even needing a response. Maybe a mod can move this for you.
