adamcr
I'm working on a Frankenstein strat project with a mahogany body. The body is routed for standard 3 PU lay-out but I'm going to fit only two PUs in a tele-style. The scratchplate will only be cut for 2 PUs. Should I fill the empty cavity with something or just leave it empty? If I should fill it, what with? Many thanks! Adam
SwedishLuthier
Leave it like it is. It will not be a problem.

USAF1989
You could always fill it with liquid refreshment. You'd have to add a spicket to your guiter so you could pour it into a shot-glass.
erikbojerik
Just put a matching empty pickup cover in there, and leave it at that.
