grungehead Posted March 31, 2007 Report Share Posted March 31, 2007 hola people. i have two emg's in my ibanez and i want to have a volume for each. ive got a three way blade here, and i want to use the middle selection as an off switch for both pickups. does anyone have a wiring diagram? Both pickups on for both positions (you can just use the volumes for pickup selection), or are you looking to do something fancier? What I just described is pretty simple, but it seems like a waste when you have the other position to work with. Acousticraft Posted April 4, 2007 Report Share Posted April 4, 2007 On my first electric I soldered a wire to the copper shielding and joined all the earths from pickups, toggle switch, and output jack to it. The pots are earthed from contact when mounted up. Works well although If the case of the pot ever oxidizes after many years it may cause earthing problems, so my builds since then I solder them to the pots as is the norm.
