Using A 5-string Bass Pickup On A 4-string Bass?

I was just curious, could a pickup made for a 5-string bass be used on a 4-string bass? More specifcally, can I exchange the p-pickup in my Squier 4-string with a Musicman type 5-string humbucking pickup? I was combing craigslist.org and found a Seymour Duncan Basslines SMB-5 for cheap and the idea kind of intrigued me. Any thoughts?
