MEtalhead_Ragz
Hi, I have a peavey wolfgang. The tone is too bright and I don't know what to do about it and gets very shrill at loud volumes. Like you know it doesn't have a tone pot so I cannot balance the tone. Is there a way that I can filter out the highs. If yes how ?? What capacitior value can I use and for what terminal on the Volume pot. Thanks in advance. Lenny
crafty
Try using a 250K pot instead of the 500K on the volume.
CrazyManAndy
Since you have no tone control, changing the pot as suggested above is probably your best option. If that doesn't work, I believe you could install a concentric pot which would give you both volume and tone controls, and you would also have a variety of options as to capacitors. Or you could change pickups. CMA
MEtalhead_Ragz
Hi Guys, Thanks for the suggestions. I learnt something new. It was a faulty pot. I swapped the pot with another 500kpot and it works like a charm. Thanks & regards, Lenny
