la5all3
Hey folks! I want to remove auotgraphs from an ESP guitar. (without ruining the finish!) They appear to have been written with a silver paint pen. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Mattia
If they're celeb signatures, just sell it and buy a new one. If they're not, I'd carefully try some sort of solvent (start with naptha, move to denatured alcohol), testing somewhere (say inside the trem cavity, if there's paint there) to see if it affects the basecoat/finish before you do anything too crazy. Otherwise, simply power-buffing them off (buffing compound is essentially a fine abrasive) might work.

la5all3
Some Chimara fan is going to eat you, I guarantee it. I would MUCH rather sell it & get another guitar. I just haven't been able to find a buyer! Maybe I'll hold off for a bit. Thanks for the denatured alc. tip!
