WezV Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 i am not sure if you can get them or not but doing silver lettering is easy if you can find a white plastic one with another colour of lettering. Allparts have white ones here: control plates although the picture is of a cream one . . . still not sure what colour lettering it will have but that doesnt matter because all you need is a small quantity of silver paint and a small brush to fill in the grooves of the lettering. very easy to do. I havnt tried this on a guitar but i do remember doing the same thing with white paint to restore the gear stick in my mums classic MG. Its easy to do because if you are not the neatest with paint it doesnt matter, you can just wipe it down and the paint will stay in the letters Quote
j. pierce Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 I imagine many sign makers could make you something similar as well - you might have to cut it out/drill it yourself, but that shouldn't be very difficult. Quote
