Just finished first bass...

I suppose I should've listed some of the features on it. (newbie)

here goes:

neck: 34inch scale bolt on fretless maple neck (yamaha converted with oak veneer)

body: poplar core body with purpleheart top and back

pickups: generic passive pickups run direct to the jack (oak veneer covers)

finish: walnut stain on poplar core, minwax oil polyurethane.

pickguard: .063 aluminum diamond plate.

I had a lot of fun building it. It actually sounds really good.

My next project is going to be a 5 string fretted neck- through. (god help me) :D

thanks, for all the kind comments.

bet you had a heck of a time cutting the purple heart to shape.

yeah, the purpleheart started to burn really easy. It also had a lot of oil in it.

It looks better than i expected though, really deep, and a good tone too.
