The magnets are going to be very strong and there is no mentioning about how many turns of wire they put on (because he don’t know himself). Probably a couple of thousands of turns to few is countered by the powerful magnets… dunno but the output might be ok but you will have to back the pups down from the string to not choke them. But to answer your question: They got the principles down. That is basically how you do a pickup. There is way to many winders that try to surround their products with market hype to try to add a little magic to a product that basically is magnets, wire and something to hold it together.
