soapbarstrat Posted June 10, 2007 Report Share Posted June 10, 2007 (edited) "German Silver" = "Nickel Silver" -does not always mean made in Germany either. And there's no real silver in it. Mostly brass with some nickel, which results in the silver color. The nickel also makes it harder, and when they draw the metal through dies, that also makes it harder.
