Headphones Out Potentiometer

I just (almost) finished building an extention box fot my sound card, and I want to put a passive volume control for the headphone out.

what value potentiometer should I put there?

You need a low value pot, 200 ohms or less, dual gang audio taper, with a reasonably high power rating, say >500mW.
