rtrocker Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 (edited) Hey Guys, I'm painting some guitar bodies using Createx Auto Air Colors waterbased paints. Can anyone recommend a brand of Polyurethane clear that they have used over Auto Air with great success? Auto Air Techs recommend 2 part Poly but after reading through a lot of other posts I've decided to back away from that. I did come across a post mentioning ML Campbell conversion varnish and another by Sherwin Williams. I'm interested in hearing about more experiences people have had with these. Has anyone had really good results using water based clears like stew mac or minwax? Thanks, Rtrocker Edited June 19, 2007 by rtrocker Quote
suicidecustom Posted June 19, 2007 Report Posted June 19, 2007 from what im told, it is compatable with any 2 part automotive clear coat. HOK, PPG, SIKKENS, etc. should work. make sure you get it from an autobody supply store, not and automotive store. Quote
