Hi there,

I am a first time builder and I plan on building a gibson les paul standard type bass a I was wondering if anybody out there has photo's/images of a gibson les paul standard bass.

I am most interested in the curve of the carved top as in where the carve starts/stops all over the body.

I live in the UK and I have not found any shops that sell les paul standard basses and I don't know anyone who has access to one.

If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

I've tried that and unfortunately the images that are returned are good but not what I'm looking for. I am looking for images of the gibson les paul standard bass with the Warick style bass bridge. The only images that google/images throws up that match are fron on or too small to be able to make out where the maple top angles away from the "pickup plane".

I was hoping that someone out there might know someone or be able to get pics for me as I can't find a les paul standard bass in the Uk.

Thanks for your help.

The one I've seen seemed like the carve mostly dipped at the sides (perpindicular to the string path) and at the back (behind the bridge) - didn't seem to be much neck angle planed in, and as such, little carve going on towards the fretboard. The entirety of the carve was fairly subtle.

Any chance of pics at all? I would most grateful if you could supply some photos.
