Dylanwad
Is the fretboard conditioner a Lemon Oil / Bore Oil type of product for replacing moisture in the fretboard?
soapbarstrat
Oil is not water. Guitar maker didn't want to deal with the wood until most the moisture was gone, so I don't know exactly what you think escaped from the wood since the guitar was built. I can understand wanting to do a little to protect the *surface* of the wood against dirt and possibly absorbing high humidity from the air, in which case a non penetrating wax, like "paste wax" is probably the best bet. Dylanwad
By replacing moisture I meant stop it going dry and cracking. I have a guitar I want to do up and the rosewood fretboard is very dry and pale looking compared to the way it used to be.
