viper152
Hey guys I've got a ferandes ravelle that i've stripped of the paint. I want to put a plexi mirror on the body and headstock. do i need to sand the wood 1/8" down so that the original depths will be the same or can i leave it the way it is and just lay the mirror on top of it? I'm really new to this so any help is appreciated. here's what the guitar looks like right now: http://img245.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00347hq6.jpg
RGman
I would route the top leaving an small amount on the edges of the body, but you could also shave the whole top and then re-apply the binding after the mirror has been applied. Boston_rocker51
Can you get the plexi beveled on the edges, maybe a 45 degree angle? If it were done well, you could glue it or screw it (or both) and hot have to recess it or remove a lot of wood... just a suggestion....
