mcbmoreno
Hey, I was just doing some exploring on my strat and found that the pickup cavity for all three pickups was a big rectangle not seperate cavities. I am a huge hendrix fan and am thinking as a side prject from building my other guitar would be to install some good vintage strat pickups upside down to get a nice hendrix tone. Anybody got some good suggestions on some nice late 60's early 70's sounding single coil pickups with stagered pole pieces? I was thinking SD Alinco II Pro but any other suggestions. Thanks

BeAR
Im a big fan of the Fender Vintage Noisless p/ups. Look cool and sound great.
krazyderek
i've read that Eric Johnson really liked the dimarzio HS-2 in single coil mode in the bridge of some of his strats, dimarzio also has the full line of virtual vintage hum canceleing bell-y-strat-y pickups.... but if you're a duncan man then i got nothing

Pushead
My strat came standard with the Gold Lace Sensors. I sort of like them, they're a bit more even than standard Fender pickups. The vintage noiseless ones are pretty good. Pretty much anything Clapton uses in his guitars should be great!
