cukaracha
What should i finish my maple neck and fingerboard with so that it has a 'wet' and shiny look while maintaining a smooth feel?? P.S. I just finished scalloping it..

erikbojerik
I'd go with polyurethane rather than lacquer, if applied correctly it will cure harder and stand up to the strings better over time. You'll have a LOT of sanding between frets to do to get it to look smooth & shiny. Look up one of the finishing tutorials on the home page.
