RuggedCross
Hello, I am planning on using Seymour Duncan stacked pickups in a Tele style guitar I am building. I know normally, you would use a 500K pot for a humbucker and a 250K pot for single coil. If I wanted to split these pickups, would I use the 500Ks as they are technically humbuckers or 250K because they don't have as high of an output as a regular humbucker? I have never split pickups before and could not find any thing relevent using the search. Thanks Edit: I just answered my own question. I had been on their wiring diagrams page many times, but for some reason I didn't think they had potentiometer values on their diagrams (I must have been thinking of some other site). It turns out they do, so thanks for any suggestions already posted, but Seymour Duncan's page shows the 250K pots in both positions. I guess I should have checked Seymour Duncan's site one more time before posting! Edited August 20, 2007 by RuggedCross
Joobsauce
I think you should be fine with the 500k pots, the single coil just wont have the output the humbucker will.
