YDoesGodMockMeSo Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 convert inches to mm 1in = 25.4mm or just go to the store and buy a new bit Quote
pour bleeding me Posted November 9, 2003 Author Report Posted November 9, 2003 ooh that helps me in other places too! thanks..but whats with the number? #36? Quote
Drak Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 I'm no tool expert, but I think they give the bits numbers for hardwood usage, and normal sizes for crap-ass usage. Call your local hardware store if you can't find an on-line drill-bit conversion chart. They should tell you what it is. Quote
bluespresence Posted November 9, 2003 Report Posted November 9, 2003 Drill bits are also sized by number (and letters) to keep us even more confused. I got tired of converting all the time and finally went out and bought a set of bits that included fractional, metric, number and letter bits. It only cost me about $75 at the time and I think they're even less now. There's some 200+ bits in it and it keeps me from going crazy trying to find the "conversion" size. Happy Drilling! Quote
