goth_fiend
well this is the next guitar i will be building after my misfits custom what do you guys think? http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp...selected=602681 i really want some input on this, any suggestions for mods on it before i build the mock up etc.
Alchool
Mmm... if you can cut it out... maybe. But it will be hard to play since it will hurt you. Why don't you add nails pointing outwards as finish? You will be the first one to make the "Unplayable Guitar". Ok. Stop joking. I think it will be very hard for you to cut the shape. Is it going to be a neck-through?
goth_fiend
yes it is going to be a neck through guitar, and i didnt say it was going to be easy to build but i will do it just you wait and see!
Alchool
Ok. I think that if you make it that would be the most "evil" guitar around. Good luck.
goth_fiend
most evil, hardly, check out neil mosers custom shop for those axes but thanks man!
krazyderek
i'll hold most of my comments till i see a properly scalled image of exactly what you're going to do, but the design looks really cool, looks like that van frankinstein dude's guitar you mentioned, i'm assuming that's what you're going for? goth_fiend
yup i got a little bit carried away on that didnt I
Drak
I like it, can't think of much to add, I think you've got your basic idea pretty well 'nailed' down
Jehle
I'd like to see it in a chrome finish. It would look like it could really hurt you then. Very evil design, looking forward to seeing that one finished.

ryeisnotcool2
hmm........ well it would be a good guitar for a live show! if they boo ya you can stick em with it! it would be cool just to hang up but i doubt i'd play it much
DannoG
Not my style, but it's cool. When you are tweaking a more final design you might want to thinken up the areas where the outer sesctions join the main body - they look like they would be fragile. The area with the controls wouldn't have much wood there. And be sure your tuners are arranged so as to not block each other on the string path.Keep us updated on the progress. Devon Headen
Seems to me after it's done it'll be an accident waiting to happen...no matter where it lands if you drop it, you're gonna be screwed. Very cool design, though. Ever think of making it out of metal? You'd have to spend a bit of money to get a furnace, cope/drag for it, but that guitar metal would be really awesome...REALLY heavy, but awesome. lovekraft
I'd just beef up the lower horns and shorten the upper horns for more structural integrity - don't want 'em to break on the first citizen you have to eviscerate! Just don't let it get Edromanized!

goth_fiend
i was going to have him build my neck UNTIL i saw how much it wsa going to cost me!
westhemann
build your own neck...it takes care and patience but it is not that tough
Hotrock
If you made the headstock into a handle, you could use it to chop down some trees for the next project. I like it, I like it alot and I'd only worry about dropping it incase it chops of your foot on the way down. Good luck dude

tsl602000
not to seem wierd or anything, but why does everyone grade it by what will happen if you drop it? Yeah, I noticed that too. Of course everybody knows you use those guitars to smash bugs..... Anyway.. extreme designs provoke extreme reactions, I guess...
westhemann
actually the large flat area of a strat would be much more suited to bug pummeling
