chemical_ali
i want to scallop my mexican tele but can't find the link to the tutorial i once saw on projectguitar.com. could someone post it please? is it a good idea to get new frets installed before i scallop b/c my frets show considerable wear and i think it would be close to impossible to get it refretted once scalloped... your opinions would be appreciated! thanks! krazyderek
http://www.projectguitar.com/tut/tutorial9.htm *hint hint, it's the one called "Full neck scallop" * guess you just weren't looking in the "Building Neck's" section
Devon Headen
I'm scalloping (sp?) my Squier Strat right now. Frets 12-22 at least. 15-20 minutes per fret?? I wish. It's taken me about 45 minutes per fret (I've done 4-1/2) with a 5/8" file. I don't have a dremel tool, but if I like the feel of the scallop (never played one), I might buy a Dremel tool so I can go faster through frets 1-11.
