Strandberg Guitarworks
Hi! I am looking for Lacewood for my current project (see http://guitarworks.thestrandbergs.com/). If you have a piece to spare that is thick enough for a bookmatched solidbody (worst case, I will make the body out of four pieces if the blank is not thick enough). The body shape is quite small - see Strat comparison on my blog, but the top will be carved and the back also shaped I think. I need it in Sweden or shipped to Sweden. Have checked with "Bröderna Holm" and "Fanerkompaniet", which are the dealers I have worked with in the past, but they have nothing in stock and no plans to get any. Any feedback on the tonal qualities of lacewood is also appreciated! I have only seen it on pictures and think the look is perfect for my build, but would like to know how it behaves in a solidbody. Thanks in advance, Ola Strandberg Strandberg Guitarworks, Uppsala, Sweden
Strandberg Guitarworks
Come to think of it, don't worry about the ship to Sweden part unless you are in Europe. I have several options for US shipping addresses where I can get it picked up. Thanks in advance!
rjhalsey
Lace wood is evenly toned. Not to war and not to bright. Check this out at Warmoth.
