Kramers Rule Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 I have an old bridge humbucker that I want to put in the neck position, but the wiring is too short. I know the technical answer to the question is that yes, you can solder extension leads to the existing wiring, but will this in anyway decrease the sound or overall output? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Quote
aidlook Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 No, just make shure that you get a good solid connection and don't forget to isolate it with some heatshrink. Quote
digi2t Posted January 22, 2008 Report Posted January 22, 2008 Have done it before. Used 22 AWG wire, and as aidlook said, heatshrink the connections. I personally prefer the heatshrink with the glue in it, but it doesn't really matter. Cheers. Quote
