mortimer
I was wondering if anyone had any experience in replacing or making an ibanez headstock decal. The newer ones with the silver/chrome Ibanez letters. On the new jem it is gold. The letters stick up higher than the stripe. But replacing the "ibanez " which in gold would be really cool, I have not a clue on how to do. Any suggestions or a site where I could get a replacement. I have seen a few on ebay but find it hard to believe you could get that same thing with just a sticker.
aidlook
What type of 'replacement' wouldn't be a sticker ??
mortimer
ok, the stripe part looks like a decal but the Ibanez lettering is thick to where you can feel it. here's a random pic i found off the web of a similar headstock. and this whole thing looks like a decal and I assume is covered in a clearcoat Edited February 1, 2008 by mortimer
ryanb
Real Ibanez logos are paint transfers. Stickers or waterslide decals under clearcoat are pretty much your only replacement options, unless you know someone who does screen printing.
