Finish Over Tung Oil

Having finished a maple neck with pure Tung Oil and waited 3 weeks for it to harden so far, I'm now not so sure that it's the finish I want :D Can I apply Danish Oil over the top without problems? If so, can I then spray acrylic lacquer over the top to seal in a decal on the headstock?
