Fraser Welsh
So what kind of glue do I need to do a material finish? Will good quality clear drying wood glue do or do I need something more specialst? Also whats the best way of getting an even material finish on the side-contours of a conventional strat? Is it just a case of careful sanding during the clear-filler to get a decent edging stage?
westhemann
brian always talks about mod podge...i think contact cement would also work well
Devon Headen
also, I saw the tutorial on this, but what exactly can be used as material finish? just fabric?
Brian
Plain simple fabric and good old wood glue, both work extremely well. I use Titebond now for applying the material.
www
I found sanding sealer worked great instead of Mod Podge. The Mod Podge dried like diamonds. Hard to sand. I used Titebond ll and had good luck removing my first piece of cloth I ruined due to sand through of the Mod Podge.
