Appleseed
I'm going to order the body blank for the Tele soon and I have a little question about a certain cavity that has to be routed in between the neck pickup and the control plate on the front of the guitar. My guess is that it has something to do with the wiring but I want to make sure. Here is the picture of the cavity in question:
avengers63
It's just to make it easier to feed the wiring through the chanel. Were it not there, the wires can get stuck in the hole that would be drilled.
godzilla
You can achieve the desired result by drilling a .250" hole from the neck pocket through the neck pup route to the control cavity. You'll need a long bit and a little bit of angle on the bit. That's how I did mine. Steve
Appleseed
Thanks for the fast reply guys, since the Tele will have two pickups and one bridge pickup I'll figure something else out for the wiring.
