mrfiftyfour
As per my "String thru body" post, I'm trying to decide what to do with the bridge of my project guitar. I've been thinking of string thru body design, but after more research I'm curious about switching to a wraparound bridge. Anyone use wraparounds and is all the hype about tone and sustain true? What do you guys use?
Bryan316
Define wraparound. I'm a bassist here, but are you talking about the Gibson two-piece bridge, threading the string thru the front and wrapping it underneath to go over the saddles? My brother does that on his Zakk. He doesn't do it for any performance differences, he just digs it doing his strings that way.
mrfiftyfour
The wraparound is a one piece bridge, but yes the string goes through the front and wraps around the back side of the bridge and over the saddles. I know there a guitar players that wrap their strings aroung the tailpiece like you described but the wraparound bridge is a different design.
